So I watched Sword art Online. Most of it anyway. The first fourteen episodes, which I guess is the first arc of the series. It certainly seems that way. It wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be in my opinion, anyway. Even still, it was exciting. I'll probably watch the rest of the series just to see if it becomes as dumb as everyone says it is.

Yeah, I've heard nothing but terrible things about that anime. I watched a few episodes of it and it was really boring, and I'm told it gets 'better' after that point but I'm not sure I'm willing to do that.

iirc the main complaints i heard were how the story is entirely an excuse plot, and the main character is a huge !#%$/mary sue.

The story isn't an excuse plot, I don't think. The whole "You die in the game, you die in real life" thing keeps it from being that, especially since the anime puts emphasis on that when it needs to. And yeah, the main character does put up a front of being an !#%$, but it's only that, a front. Everything else about him is pretty Mary Sue, I'm not going to argue there.

With all that said, my main complaint about the anime was that there always seemed to be more to the story that wasn't mentioned, and then one of my friends told me that the anime is actually based on a series of light novels, which I'll probably end up reading some time in the future.

Even if its just a front, he doesn't really come off as likable. It doesn't help that his previous online avatar before it shows the real him has a skrillex haircut. Okay, that doesn't really matter, I just like pointing that out.

As far as the excuse plot I've heard that when he meets the creator of the game the creator admits he entirely forgot why he did all of this. But don't take my word on that, I'm not entirely sure. I might just read the review that made me curious about it in the first place or maybe muster up the energy to finish it and read the review after each episode like I was originally doing.

So watched season two of Sword Art Online and it wasn't that good. The only good thing I'll take away from it is the relationship between Kirito and his sister.

I'd take the time to list my problems with it, but I'm too lazy to do so. If someone asks, I guess I'll list them, but pretty much the summary is thus: The second season is just as bad as everyone says.

Anyway, I've also been watching Devil Survivor 2 The Animation and that's pretty good. I'd be lying if I said my favorite part of the show wasn't the music, though.

I also started Attack on Titan, and apparently that's a thing to watch this season.

Image Started watching the adaptation of The Eccentric Family (有頂天家族 Uchōten Kazoku). It's got some pretty great writing thus far, two episodes in.

Never heard of The Eccentric Family before.

I recently watched Watamote. It's only five episodes or so in, but it's good so far.

Image Long story short, The Eccentric Family focuses on the Shimogamo family (specifically, Shimogamo Yasaburō, the third of four sons) who's father was a highly respected member of their society before he lost his life by being turned into delicious stew.

...Oh right, I forgot to mention. The Shimogamo family is made up of tanuki. That's kinda important, I guess... It's made clear right at the start that Kyoto is central to humans, tanuki, and tengu, though most humans never take notice to the more "fantastic" citizens unless they let themselves be known.

Image Oh, this episode is looking to be a funny one! Akadama-sensei doesn't like baths unless it is with Benten? What a dirty old tengu, hahaha!

...and then those last five minutes hit... What the hell?!

Watched the first Evangelion series and End of Evangelion with Raxy.

It was pretty trippy. I certainly felt like I was taking a ride on a pretty crazy roller coaster ride. Still, I enjoyed it and found the entire thing interesting. Definitely don't regret seeing it.

Also, I'm very happy I didn't try to experience it all at once. I don't think my psyche could handle that.

Now I have to see the Rebuilds.

Image Why? Why does my happy family anime have somber tones and depressingly heartbreaking cliffhangers? Why am I being tortured like this?!

Can't wait for Sunday...

Image Episode 11. Things are become so tense, they don't play the OP anymore. You know things are gettin' dire now.

But I wonder... Is this going to be a one season thing? It's slated to go for 13 episodes and I just finished watching the 11th...but it seems like there's still a lot to learn, but it also feels like there'll be a nice, warm conclusion too based on the preview of next week.

Nah, I am sure another season should happen. There'll still be questions left lingering.

Also, Yajiro to the rescue! Go Frog Bro!!

Image Oh gosh, just one episode left of this fantastic anime...

All the major characters are in the same building... The climax is almost here!

Got roped into it by some dudes. It's been good so far.

I finished Part 5 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Definitely my least favorite so far. It's not bad, just not as good as the other parts. The stand fights were really interesting, though.

Now reading Part 6, featuring the first and only female JoJo thus far.

Image Aaaand...we are done. No more episodes of Uchouten Kazoku (The Eccentric Family). I'm really going to miss it. It had a great premise, fantastic characters, lovely visuals, great soundtrack, and a lot of heart.

I really wish they would do more stories with them instead of focusing on just one year. There's still a lot that could be done with the idea of humans, tanuki, and tengu living together. Not to mention a few unanswered questions, like:

Spoiler: click to show
-Who exactly was Juro? Was he the leader of the Friday Fellows? Is he a special human much like Benten is? He certainly wasn't frightened when confronted by Yaichirou as a tiger as opposed to everyone else.

-Speaking of the Friday Fellows... What happened to them? Sure, the professor got booted because he refused to eat the same tanuki that he nursed back to health (aka Shimogamo matriarch) and Benten is okay, but what of the others, including Juro? Akadama Sensei blew everyone out of the building with the Fujin-Raijin fan so did they survive the fall? All the tanuki did so...

-What exactly are Kaisei's feelings for Yasaburou? They were arranged to be married before her father (who has now secluded himself away from Kyoto due to being exposed for selling out his brother and the former Nise-emon to the Friday Fellows) called it off. She always seems to help him out, but refuses to show her face to him. We know she doesn't like Benten, but is it out of jealously or the fact that she used her charm to turn Souichirou into a tanuki and boil him?

-For that matter, does Yajirou still have feelings for Kaisei? Or has being a frog in a well changed his attitude on that? He still can't change back so...

-What exactly is up with Benten? She's still as much an enigma at the end as she was at the beginning. Why did she join the Friday Fellows in the first place? How exactly does she feel about Yasaburou? About Akadama Sensei? Why did she sometimes come to the well just to cry?

Regardless, I think you all should give it a go and watch it. I highly enjoyed it.

Yeah, I really have to check that out.

I finished Attack on Titan, and it was pretty good. I think there's going to be a second season but IDK.

And I need to catch up with Watamote now that it ended.

I restarted JJBA myself, and am up to Part 3. For some reason I find it easier to interperet panels here, as if it's cleaner than 1 and 2. (But don't get me wrong, Joseph is my favorite JoJo so far.)

So this season I started watching current anime again. I watched Attack on Titan, as I said earlier, which is really good. Like, really, really good. The only way I wouldn't recommend it is if you're not okay with gore. Or seeing your favorite characters die.

I also watched Watamote. It's kind of like if Konata from Lucky Star were an introvert. It was pretty good even if some of the episodes are hard to watch with extreme amounts of secondhand embarrassment.

Free! was also pretty good. Lots of cute boys everywhere. At least one of them was definitely gay and there may have been swimming at some point.

And I'm currently watching the World God Only Knows. I'm in season three right now, and while the first two seasons were pretty good, season three is really good.

It's absolutely nothing like Lucky Star lol They're both sort of slice of life I guess?

So I'm near the end of part 6 and oh my god what the !#%$ is going on i don't even.

One of the major characters got his memory back and now because of that snails start showing up and multiplying all over the city and there's even rainbows and if you touch the rainbow you turn into a snail and also there's a villain that can bring back memories from a city or something and he used that power to summon a football team against the main protagonist and then he says "Jolyne Kujo, enjoy being dragged over to the touchdown line."

Also the main villain is trying to go to a space center so he can "attain heaven" after he fused with a green plant baby that was born from the bone of a vampire that originated from part 1.

And to think that this all happened because of a carriage accident.

Sounds like JJBA to me. That is quite some escalation though.
