Hey, would anyone be interested in playing a Dungeons and Dragons game? I'm never played a tabletop RPG on a forum so I'd have to figure out exactly how that would work. Also, if anyone is thinking they'd play, what class/race would you be interested in playing as? What kind of game or setting do you think would be cool? I don't really have much experience with D&D so I'm cool with just about anything. I guess just post your thoughts on things. If you've never played DnD before just think of what kind of thing you'd want to be in a fantasy world. Though if you have any questions, I might be able to help.

Bluh.

YEAH I'D BE COOL FOR THAT
As I said in MSN the other day, I'd be totally cool with Gnome or Kobold (probably the latter, but SHRUG). As for class, uh, I don't even know what the classes are, uhhh, BARD. Yes. They're sufficiently silly. As for setting, uh, THE MOON. Yes. 100% reasonable.

Yeah, to be honest, I'd be curious how tabletops would work in general, let alone in forum form. It probably isn't as simple as the Worldbuilding thread.

Rolling itself would be pretty easy, I'm mostly just trying to figure out what to do with character sheets and the like.

As for classes, the general classes are Barbarian, Bard, Cleric, Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Wizard.

There is also multi-classing and prestige classes but I know jack !#%$ about that. That's how good I am at this.

been reading through a bunch of systems and found an interesting one called apocalypse world. pretty self explanatory in terms of the setting i would imagine but the actual "game play" would work really well in a play by post environment. the basic playbooks (read: character sheets) are on their website if you wanna get a preview of what kind of characters you play

http://apocalypse-world.com/ApocalypseW ... ybooks.pdf

not gonna start a thread for a while though since raxy's gonna start a 3.5 campaign soon(ish(?))

I cant really figure out how the system works from that, but it looks pretty cool.

And yeah the DnD thing should be starting soon, I mainly need to get everyone's characters together.
