Well, I know who's gonna be my training dummy and main, respectively. (Donte and Jak/Raiden).

This feels more like a blend between Smash Bros and Arcade Fighting Games from what I see, I like that.

Image It is certainly a bit more arcadey than what Smash had. Probably due to how the arenas work in this one (enclosed for more personal KOs) as opposed to Smash's design (open for sumo-styled KOs).

I'm possibly going to main Sly, unless I can't get that stealth mechanic down. Other options I am looking at include Cole, Toro, and Sir Dan.

Image BETA is now public for all. Gave it a try myself.

Maybe it's because I need to learn the characters, but I am not really fond of this title so far...

And I've got a personal issue about not being able to jump with the stick. I know, some people prefer using buttons (or C-Stick) to jump, but not me. I'm too used to jumping with the Control Stick.

going to main the !#%$ out of Kratos. Good god he looks amazing and his Level 3 Super is sexy. Too bad the beta is going to last for only a week >_> and everyone and their mother uses Kratos

I think the whole 'supers' thing might be the game's downfall, since other than that, I can't find much wrong with it besides maybe controls and it seems like it might go badly with the game's flow. Not to mention it seems like Sony is trying too hard to separate it from SSB.

Image At first, I thought I wanted to main Sly, since I love the character, but then I learned that the removal of the Block button also meant the removal of the Dodge button...

Don't get me wrong: He's one of only two characters I've actually won as (the other being PaRappa) but man is that such a deal breaker...

Again, maybe if there was like a Practice Mode in this Beta, I could learn to use them better...with DmC Dante as the Training Dummy of course.

When it comes to Supers, I am honestly not too against them. They feel fine as it is, though I wish there were other methods to "kill" in this game, though I'm not sure what else to add other than making it a whole clone of Smash.

I also think these online matches are way too short. I rarely ever saw Level 3 Supers simply because it just takes too long to get to that point. Lots of people preferred to instead keep Spamming 1 and 2. I hope we can adjust time/stock/whatever in full release. They did mention stock numbers, but the way the stages in the background go, they seem almost too scripted for adjustment...

Yeah, my main complaint with Supers is that they are the only way to kill. Sure in Smash Bros, the only way to kill is knocking them off the stage (or past the ceiling boundaries) but there's a lot to do with that and it's proven that it works overall. Maybe, they could add specific ways to kill certain characters, like, if there are dark eco bombs, they can kill Jak but no one else, or anything water/sludge related would kill Cole, but no one else.

The timer also seems to be an issue, but maybe it's just in the beta only.
