Post about the last movie you saw. Was it in theatres? On TV? On Netflix? Rented? How salty was the popcorn?

30 Minutes Or Less last night with my roommates. It was funny.

I saw The Expendables yesterday. It was a great action movie, but that's about it.

I just watched Galaxy Quest, a film parody of Star Trek...

...And I have to say, that was the best parody on anything I've ever seen. It was absolutely brilliant.

I've seen that.

Wouldn't say it was the best parody, but I found it enjoyable.

I think, its been a while.

Then again ive only seen like one episode of star trek ever

We saw ParaNorman on Tuesday (wasting time before our flight out of Phoenix). It was a cute story with good effects. It was fun to watch. (Their faces were so translucent and lips so shiny though. O_O Were they made of wax?)

Well it was stop-motion, so probably.

So I watched X-Men First Class yesterday. It was really great. Action packed, thrilling, and judging from my dad's reactions, extremely faithful to the source material.

However, this being a Marvel film, there was just one problem.

Stan Lee didn't make a cameo appearance.

Men In Black 3 I saw yesterday. Hilarious. I loved the bowling alley interrogation scene and Bill Hader as Andy Warhol.

Watched Memento on Netflix.

Its a really good psychological mystery about a man with no short term memory, the way the story is told is something I haven't really seen in any other film.

Went and saw Wreck-it Ralph today.

I really liked it! I thought people were overstating how good it was, but it really was a great film.

Here's my short review of Wreck It Ralph copy-pasted from another forum! Enjoy.

Wreck It Ralph probably has the most well-integrated cameos in film history. Seriously, nearly every cameo was meaningful and gave the movie more depth in terms of immersion into the movie's world elements, and ended up enhancing the plot, which took center stage in the movie. It must have been really hard to resist abusing the cameos to lean on the plot but the movie is so much better for it. I think Disney Animated Studio Head John Lassetter's "story first" philosophy really hit home in this movie, seeing as he was the executive producer.

Everything about this movie was amazing. They really payed attention to detail, and they managed to juggle several sub-plots without bogging down the story, and have them all tie in neatly at the end. The animation was amazing, especially the Fix it Felix Jr. citizens, who moved as though they were sprites even though they were in 3D without feeling too out of place. The twist with the Candy King had very subtle and effective lead up that struck the difficult balance of foreshadowing and surprise.

I don't think I have a single complaint about this movie. It capitalized on everything that was great and avoided all the obvious problems most cameo-heavy movies tend to have. Well done Disney, well done.

Boy Band Catalina. It's a 30 minute film and all of it is on Youtube and everyone should experience it in their lifetime.

So I just watched Wreck It Ralph. On DVD. Barely a month after it's been out in theaters. You can thank my mom for that.

I'm with MK on this one. This was all I needed in a video game movie and more. I absolutely loved it.

It's an actual DVD. And it's legal. My mom works for Disney, so she gets free "award screener" DVD's for animated movies very early. I'm guessing that means the DVD's that they play at the workplace for the employee's to see. So unless you have a family member that also works for Disney, you're gonna have to go to your local theater to watch it.

Yes you do. In fact, I'll give you three free DVD's.

Now you can watch the High School Musical Trilogy at the comfort of your own home.

So I saw Lincoln some last month. It was little slow to start, but it was a really interesting look on the end of Lincoln's life. The constant struggle of whether the fourteenth amendment will end the war or the end of the war will bring the fourteenth was quite nerve-racking. And even though everyone knows how the movie ends goes, the voting scene is still one of the most tense moments in any movie I've ever seen. Lincoln himself is obviously the main draw and Daniel Day-Lewis makes Lincoln into quite possibly the most human character in the movie. And the joke about the painting of George Washington hanging in the restroom is still funny.

And I have yet to see Wreck-It Ralph. I hope to see it soon.

Saw the Hobbit a few days ago. It was pretty good. I especially enjoyed Golem's part in it, and how Bilbo uses trickery and wit. We also get more of Gandalf being awesome.

I also just saw Arthur Christmas, which I wanted to see back when it came to theaters last year but never got to. And holy crap, the previews and commercials do not do it justice whatsoever. Very deserving of it's 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is definitely my new favorite modern Christmas movie.
