Kidnappers took their victims to a barricaded hotel room and demanded money for their safe return and a key to the mini-bar. The kidnappers fell asleep around six hours in, giving the victims time enough to escape and call police. They were refreshed and well rested when police arrived to take them to jail.

Kidnappers?

If there was more than one, couldn't they have taken shifts?

I'm sure the Grey Bar Hotel has much worse room service.

Stopping a reporter and her cameraman for directions, a carjacking victim managed to alert the news team that he was in trouble. They followed the car until police arrived and were also the first news team in the city to get the story. The suspect was charged with aggravated robbery and arrested. On the way to jail, he escaped and stopped to ask directions from a police officer, meter maid and Boy Scouts before they picked him up and placed him back in police custody.

A former astronaut asked a judge to have her ankle bracelet removed while she waited for trial because it didn't go with her pantsuit. She also claimed the device was interfering when she exercised and prohibited her from flying on commercial aircrafts or watching her kids in the pool. She also called it an "unnecessary and expensive expense" because the state was making her pay for it.

It's the same reason I ask if a teacher will just skip giving the test and give everyone an A. It's not likely to work, but there's that miniscule chance they'll actually say "Yes."

A man had just stuck a gun into his waistband when it fired, shooting him in the left testicle. He cringed, causing the gun to fire again and strike him in the left calf. Police caught up to the man after he managed to walk himself to the hospital. He and two other accomplices were attempting to kidnap a teen in a dispute over a stereo. He said he planned to kidnap the teen and wait for the ransom to be delivered.

Why on earth would you even stick a gun in your pants like that? That's just nuts.

Remember people: If you don't have a holster, you need jeans minimum.

A teenager under arrest for assault tried to flee police as he was about to be transported in a patrol car. The teenager bolted from the car and tried to vault a wrought-iron fence with his hands cuffed behind his back. Firefighters ended up having to cut out a section of the fence in order to free him, sending him to the hospital.

Having second thoughts about meeting a man from the internet in person, a young woman claimed that she had been abducted. She never boarded the plane, but instead called the man and his mother to tell them that she had been abducted after landing in Kansas City. The woman was arrested after police conducted an expensive search for her.

Kidnappers abducted a man near his factory in a suburb of São Paulo and demanded $690,000 for ransom. The man, however, escaped. The next day, the previously kidnapped man got a phone call asking for $11,500 to defray the cost of the abduction. After negotiating a 50 percent reduction, the man called police. The abductors were arrested when they showed up to collect their payment.

Two masked gunmen burst into a house wearing shirts marked police. They tied up a woman and two of her children with duct tape. They demanded to know where "Joe" was. When the woman said he did not live there, the two said, "Oops, we have the wrong house." In the back of the house, the woman's other child had called the police. When the men walked outside, they were quickly arrested.

In Rochester a man ran out of gas, and was discovered covered in blood. He flagged down a police car, but when the police arrived he started running. The police searched his car and found a dead, bloody body. They sent helicopters out and found the man at 3:13 in the morning.

A man broke into a woman's home and glued his foot to her face. They then had t had to drive to the hospital to have it surgically removed. He was, of course, arrested after the surgery was over.

What I want to know is, with his foot being glued to her face, how exactly did they drive to the hospital?

I suppose a third party could've been involved, but that makes it much less silly, and is thus irrelevant.

I'd assume they both used their other usable foot.

The real question is how they walked to and from the car. I think it's silly to ask why he glued his foot.

Guys it's easy.

Also, for them to walk, the one who's stuck to the foot could crawl on the floor while the other hops on one leg.

A man tried to buy stolen phones with a fake check. He also used the FBI field office as a shipping address and actually waited outside the office to make his transaction. Fortunately, federal agetns were there to copy edit his work.
